6 - Mini-Season Rules

  • 6.1 - During mini-season events, 3 - Season Rules and 5 - Cup Rules do not apply. All rules related to mini-season events are included on this page.
  • 6.2 - Teams that sign up will be split into smaller divisions.
    • 6.2.1 - The amount of divisions is entirely dependent on the amount of signups. The addition and removal of divisions will be decided as teams sign up.
    Division Names from High to Low are as follows:

    Platinum
    Gold
    Silver
    Steel
    Iron

  • 6.3 - Teams play in a swiss style format within the regular season.
  • 6.4 - Teams in the regular season are ranked based on match wins.
    If teams are tied on match wins, tie breaking methods are used as follows:

    Tie Break #1 - Score Difference.
    Tie Break #2 - Direct Encounter.
    Tie Break #3 - Median-Buchholz System.
    Tie Break #4 - Round Wins.

  • 6.5 - During the regular season teams play 1 match per week, on 2 selected maps from the pool, for 3 weeks.
  • 6.6 - The default match days for the season are Saturday. See times below.
    • 6.6.1 - Teams should pick the best date and time if the default time conflicts.
    Default Match Times (with observance of Daylight Savings time):

    NA | 21:30 EST/EDT
    EU | 21:30 CET/CEST
    AS | 21:30 GMT+8
    SA | 21:30 GMT-3
    OZ | 21:30 AEST/AEDT

  • 6.7 - Following the regular season, teams move into a single elimination playoff bracket. Playoffs, take place on BO3 maps selected from the regular season map pool.
    Teams select maps as follows, with Team A being the upper seeded team:
    1. Team A picks one map; Team B chooses the starting side.
    2. Team B picks one map; Team A chooses the starting side.
    3. Team B picks one map; Team A chooses the starting side.
    • 6.7.1 - The number of teams that enter the single elimination bracket depend on total number of teams in the division. In the case of an odd number of teams, one team will be given a bye week.
    Playoff Structure:
    • Between 4-7 Teams | 4 Team Single Elimination.
    • Between 8-15 Teams | 8 Team Single Elimination.
    • Between 16-31 Teams | 16 Team Single Elimination.
  • 6.8 - Players cannot be added to the roster after the second week has concluded.
