8 - 6v6 Ruleset
- 8.1 - Teams are required to play with six players.
- 8.1.1 - Teams may choose to play with five players if they are unable to have six. Check 4 - Match Rules for ringer/merc specifics.
- 8.1.2 - Teams can have a maximum of two ringers/mercs in a match. Following teams cannot use the same ringers/mercs in multiple matches during playoffs.
- 8.2 - Teams can only have a maximum of nine players on the active roster at a time.
- 8.3 - Teams can only have a maximum number of specific classes in play at a given time.
Class restrictions are as follows:
Scout - 2 Maximum
Soldier - 2 Maximum
Pyro - 2 Maximum
Demoman - 1 Maximum
Heavy - 1 Maximum
Engineer - 1 Maximum
Medic - 1 Maximum
Sniper - 1 Maximum

Jarate - 8.5 - 6v6 is played on different game modes. Each game type has a different ruleset.
- 8.5.1 - KOTH is played first to three round wins. The config used is
tfarena_6v6_koth.cfg
. - 8.5.2 - Stopwatch maps, (i.e. Payload and A/D), are played best of three rounds. Teams that capture all control points the fastest win the map. The config used is
tfarena_6v6_stopwatch.cfg
. - 8.5.3 - 5CP is played first to five round wins, with a match time of 25 minutes. Using Improved Match Timer, max round times have been reduced to 5 minutes. If the match time ends and neither team has achieved 5 round wins, the plugin will automatically set the map win limit. Example: If at 25 minutes the score is (0-1), the win limit will automatically be adjusted to 2 with the next team to reach 2 rounds wins being the overall winner. The config used is
