10 - Arena Ruleset

  • 10.1 - Teams are required to play with six players.
    • 10.1.1 - Teams may choose to play with five players if they are unable to have six. Check 4 - Match Rules for ringer/merc specifics.
    • 10.1.2 - Teams can have a maximum of two ringers/mercs in a match. Following teams cannot use the same ringers/mercs in multiple matches during playoffs.
  • 10.2 - Teams can only have a maximum of nine players on the active roster at a time.
  • 10.3 - Teams can only have a maximum number of specific classes in play at a given time.
    Class restrictions are as follows:

    Scout - 1 Maximum
    Soldier - 1 Maximum
    Pyro - 1 Maximum
    Demoman - 1 Maximum
    Heavy - 1 Maximum
    Engineer - 1 Maximum
    Medic - 1 Maximum
    Sniper - 1 Maximum
    Spy - 1 Maximum

  • 10.4 - All 6v6 matches use this whitelist: Current Whitelist.
    Currently Banned Weapons
    Crit-a-Cola
    Mad Milk
    Short Circuit
    Vaccinator
    Jarate
  • 10.5 - Arena mode is played most points in 25 minutes, with a 6 point win difference (i.e. If a team leads by 6 points at any point, the match ends). The config used is tfarena_6v6_arena.cfg.
    • 10.5.1 - Arena match scoring is as follows:
      • +6 Score Difference ~ 6-0 Match Points
      • +5 Score Difference ~ 6-1 Match Points
      • +4 Score Difference ~ 6-2 Match Points
      • +3 Score Difference ~ 6-3 Match Points
      • +2 Score Difference ~ 6-4 Match Points
      • +1 Score Difference ~ 6-5 Match Points
